Built on the house that was already there. Nothing torn down for its own sake: rooms reorganised, inside and outside reconnected, an old house given a new way of living.
White walls, daylight, fine mullions and open thresholds.
Courtyard and terrace open from the rooms; the garden becomes part of the house.
Modest means, a distinct quality of space.
Three bedrooms. An office. A garden. 95 × 110 feet. Studio Hu.
